Independence day in morocco
In 1956 Morocco was able to be freed from the French and their colonial rules when King Mohammed came back from his exile in Corsica and Madagascar. King Mohammed V was the one who game Morocco their independence on 18th of November 1956. He was also given the crown as King Morocco that year after that. To make their day of Independence the Royal Armed Forces march through the streets and the King gives a grand speech. Morocco has known to be ruled by many people though out history, this holiday is to really celebrate the day that they were freed from France. They have not forgotten what was done for them, in order to drive away the Spanish. There are also events in June that are to mark the day of celebration of freedom from the country in 1975 which was ruled by the Spanish. Today it is point to address the people of Morocco and the sacrifices that they made for their people. Morocco needed to acquire their independence in order to have the modern ways and be more open to gain allies with other countries.
